Murmura

A very easy to make and time pass snack. Can be modified into Bhel too. All you need is some chutneys ,onions, tomatoes and sev.

This can be eaten like this with a cuppa chai/coffee too. Makes a yummy ,no mess snack.

Ingredients:

  • Puffed Rice: 3 cups
  • Peanuts: 2 tbsp
  • Curry Leaves: a spring
  • Green Chilies: 3-4
  • Hing: a pinch
  • Oil: 2-3 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds: 1 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder: 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar: 1 tbsp

Method:

Dry roast the puffed rice till crisp.

Heat oil , add mustard seeds,peanuts, hing,green chilies, curry leaves and fry them.

Add turmeric powder, salt, sugar and the roasted puffed rice and mix them gently.

Allow to cool and store in a airtight container.

Serve as needed with sev.
