Corn Peanut Sundal

Another neivedyam recipe for Navratri. Easy to make and can be made with minimal ingredients. The goodness of corns and crunchy peanuts are too good to be missed.

Corn Peanut Sundal

 

Ingredients

Corns :1/2 cup

Raw Peanuts: 1/4th cup

Coconut grated: 2 tbsp

Green chili :1-2

Hing a pinch

Turmeric powder: 1 tsp

Salt as per taste

To temper :

Oil : 1 tbsp

Urad dal: 1tsp

Mustard seeds: 1tsp

Curry Leaves: a spring

Green chili: 1-2

Juice of Half lemon

Procedure:

  1. Take corns and  peanuts in a bowl ,add water and pressure cook for 1-whistle with a pinch of turmeric and salt. Grind the coconut plus green chili and keep aside.
  2. Heat a pan add ” To temper”, turmeric powder  and then the boiled peanut and corn and fry for a minute.
  3. Add the coconut, chili paste, check for salt. Add juice of half a lemon.
  4.  Serve.
